04 — pricing · two paths · talk to us

Pay when you
get paid.

Two paths. Lawyers join the platform — 10% rev share to the platform, you keep 90%. Firms run their own client pipeline on the platform — bespoke pricing on their own terms. Both pay only on actual collected billings.

One platform. Two ways to come on.

ezylegal sells to two distinct audiences. The deal is shaped to fit each — the wedge ("Pay when you get paid") is the same; the economics are different by design.

The same principles, both paths.

Whichever path fits your situation, the underlying economics share the same shape.

  • / 01 /

    Pay when you get paid

Both paths bill on actual collected revenue. Nothing is owed until a matter bills and the client pays. There are no flat seat fees or subscriptions on either side of the model.

  • / 02 /

    No subscription, no minimums

No monthly platform fee, no committed minimum spend, no per-seat charge. The platform earns its keep on the matters it actually helps you bill.

  • / 03 /

    Disbursements pass through

Court fees, search fees, expert reports, agent fees, transcript fees — passed through to the client at cost. The platform never marks them up; the rev-share / bespoke % never applies to disbursements.

  • / 04 /

    GST applied on top

All platform fees are quoted ex-GST. We invoice with 10% GST applied per ATO requirements.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What's the rev share for lawyers?
10% of billings comes to the platform; you keep 90%. The 10% covers: case sourcing (cases routed to your practice area), practice certificate, professional indemnity insurance, Rachel running the back office, and the billing infrastructure that pays you. There's no per-case acceptance fee, no subscription, no seat fee. You only pay when the matter actually bills and the client pays.
What's the firm pricing?
Bespoke. We tailor the deal to your case mix, lawyer count and infrastructure. Firms typically pay either a percentage of billings handled by the platform, a flat per-matter fee, or a hybrid — depending on what fits the firm's economics. We do not have a price list. We pilot on a real matter before either side commits.
What practice areas does the platform support?
ezylegal is strictly a litigation platform today. Supported areas: Family Law, Consumer Law, Commercial Disputes, Property Disputes, Employment Disputes, Personal Injury, Debt Recovery and Insurance Disputes. We're not in transactional work (conveyancing, immigration applications, estate planning, etc.) — at least not yet.
When do I actually pay anything?
When the matter bills and the client pays. Lawyers on the platform: your rev share lands in your account once the platform collects from the client. Firms on bespoke: invoiced monthly against billings the platform helped you collect, ex-GST and ex-disbursements.
Disbursements — really pass-through?
Yes. Court filing fees, search fees, expert reports, agent fees, transcript fees, and any other true disbursements are recorded against the matter as pass-through line items and appear separately on your client invoice at cost. The platform never marks them up; the rev-share or firm % never applies to them.
Can I switch paths later?
Yes. Lawyers who outgrow the rev-share model can move to a firm tier when they have their own client pipeline. Firms can sponsor individual lawyers on the platform under the rev-share path while still running their own bespoke firm tier. The two paths coexist.
